A few months ago my friend Jenny said, “You never posted final pictures of Bradford Avenue.” And I thought, if blogs were children the Department of Child Services would surely shut this down and cart me off for neglect. I also gasped when she said it—completely sincere reaction, I tell you.
Here are a few pictures from Bradford—my first love.
You can thank Jenny.

I found you after seeing your beautiful renovation in a magazine. I love your style, it’s the perfect mix of clean and vintage quirky. Can’t wait to see what else you do!
Jess,
You’re so kind. I’m flattered and so happy that my house and style stuck a chord with you. Thank you for your comment—I hope you’ll stick around for more!

Love your home!!! Your Aunt Debbie told me to check it out. Can’t wait to see what’s next around the horizon:)
Thank you so much, Penne! You’re too kind! Thanks for the support.

Hi Amy,
I just wanted to say that I LOVE your home. The colours and textures in it are perfection! My favourite parts are your sliding door and the gorgeous master vanity. The vintage look is very similar to the feel I’m going for at the house we’re just finishing building right now, so I hope i can pull it off half as good as you have.
Christina,
THank you so much! I want to go on record saying, “If anybody can do it, you can!” I am envious of all your projects and vision. I have no doubt you’ll work just as much color and texture into your project. Thank you for the comment—and the compliment. I appreciate it so much.
Best!

Where is the pretty white couch from and what is the nice light and neutral wall color in that same room? Great work! Gorgeous, happy rooms!
The couch is from Sprintz funiture,a Nashville furniture company. It’s a slipcover white denim couch, which I highly recommend—it gets cozier with every wash. The wall color is Sherwin Williams Repose Gray. Thanks for your comment!
I love this house, gorgeous! Can I ask where the elephant print/painting in the bathroom is from?
Thank you so very much! The elephant piece is from Sugarboo, an artist out of Atlanta. You will LOVE her entire collection. Enjoy & thank you for chiming in!

Low volume with pops of color, right up my alley……
Love the round gray coffee table, where can I get one of my own?
Everything is beautiful! I love the coffee table! Where is it from?
Carly & Brittney,
Thanks for the comments! The coffee table is actually an old oak kitchen table that I picked up in an antique store in Arkansas for something like $75 almost 10 years ago! After a few years as the kitchen table, I cut the pedestal down to coffee table height and painted it gray with outdoor porch paint—I like the matte finish and I wanted to put my feet (and shoes) up without worrying about chipping the paint.
Hope you find a table to revamp!
amy
What color paint did you use on the coffee table?!
Lauren,
I’m unsure of the color. I grabbed a gallon of stocked porch paint from the shelf at home depot. -x, amy
I absolutely love the light fixture over the dining table! Can you tell me where it came from?
Lori,
I found the light fixture at an antique store in Franklin, Tn., and got my electrician’s help to rewire it. It’s one of my favorite pieces in the house!
I wish I could tell you where to find one!
Thank you for reading!
amy
Love everything! Is that a chalkboard border I see? What a great idea! Where did you get th black pictures with all of the quotes? Love that!
I found it at Fabu, a Nashville boutique but it is the work of Sugarboo Designs out of Rosewell, GA.
Every now and again her work will pop up on One Kings Lane. The website is http://www.sugarboodesigns.com/

Thanks! Your house is amazing! Very inspirational to me as I’m preparing to move into a new home and look forward to decorating. Thanks again!
Hi there! I came across photos of this on Pinterest and fell in LOVE! It’s just perfect perfect perfect in a not-trying-to-be-perfect way! I am dying over everything in the living room — the coffe table, the white sofa, the globes, and the boots in the fireplace. OH, THE BOOTS!!!! And I adore those yellow lights lining the hallway.

Loving those whole look!! Could you tell me were you got the antique wood floor? Or did it come with the home?
LOVE everything!! I have a table just like your coffee table that I want cut down also. What paint/brand and color did you use? Did you sand it down before painting and what did you use to cut off the bottom?? Thanks for the inspiration!!
Kyra,
This is random but I used porch/deck paint. I wanted something ultra durable because I don’t mind feet on the coffee table.
I think the color is web gray by Sherwin Williams. (I honestly cannot recall.)
I did not sand it. I didn’t do anything. I just rolled the paint on with a small roller.
Porch paint is ultra forgiving. I applied a few coats and have loved the results!

Amy
Thanks so much!! Hope mine looks as good as yours!
Hi again! Came back to let you know I featured the picture of the yellow lights in the hallway on my post tonight titled “11 pops od yellow that make my heart race.” Thanks for making my heart go pitter patter

What type of wood is the flooring? It is so pretty!
Love your remodel! Do you recall where you got the map of the US?
Hey, Melissa,
I found it online. Etsy! It’s by Dirtsa Studio.
Here’s a link:

Thanks for your comment & I’m so glad you liked the space!
What a gorgeous home! The first thing that caught my eye were the vintage french casement shutters….is that what they are called? That’s my best guess on how to describe them. Would you mind sharing what they are really called and where you found them, please? I love the juxtaposition of modern and vintage!
Erica,
I’m thinking you’re referring to the image of the fireplace/mantle with the skinny french doors on each side?
If so, they are custom. My builder and I designed them and took the drawing to a door maker. He built them for us and then painted/distressed them. They are functional and lead out to the side/front porch.
If this isn’t what you’re referring to I need more clues!
Thanks,
Amy
Yes! That’s exactly what I was referring to! I thought they were window shutters not doors…at any rate, I adore them! Do you remember where you found the hardware for them? (the cremone bolt locks?) Thanks for your response!
Erica,
I found the hardware online–I honestly cannot remember but if I know me I started on amazon and went from there! I recommend searching for the surface bolts in length you want on amazon and it will probably lead to something good! So glad I could help you!!
x,
Amy
Once again, thanks so much for your response! It is very helpful, because we just moved into our new home and I thought that hardware would look awesome on some vintage shutters. I’m trying to figure out window coverings! Have a great night
Love this home! We are just about to paint our home white and am wondering if you wouldn’t mind sharing your exterior paint color? Thanks!!
Thanks, Jamie! I don’t mind sharing at all! The interior white is Sherwin Williams Snowbound. The Exterior White is Sherwin Williams Dover White. It has a creamier base, just a hair of yellow undertone, so it worked wonderfully with the green roof.

Can you tell what type of wood floor you have? We are building a house and your floor is gorgeous!
Lexie,
Sure! I found my floors at Woodstock Vintage Lumber here in Nashville. I’m told that the floors were “harvested” from a factory that was being torn down here in town. They are old, old, old and worn but I LOVE them.
The material is Walnut. Here’s my thought on reclaimed or unique flooring: I think it is worth it when the floors are unique enough or really make a statement. After we put the floors in I felt like they did all the talking and it didn’t matter what I ever put on the walls or anywhere else. They were so beautiful and really stole the show. They were certainly more expensive but I think well worth it. Think of them as your most permanent piece of furniture. To keep it within my budget, I only ran the reclaimed wood through the shared space of living/dining/kitchen/hallway. The bedrooms are standard oak floors, just stained a color that transitions nicely from the reclaimed to the new wood.
As far as an online source, I really like Elmwood. (I want to use their product on a project eventually.) They will send a box of samples to you, which is really helpful.
If it’s not in the cards for you to run reclaimed wood through the entire space, consider doing it in a bathroom or space that is to itself but a smaller square footage.Check out their sale page—I would totally use an interesting batch of the remnants they have there.

I hope I’ve helped! Thanks for your comment and for asking!

Would you be able to tell me the dimensions of the coffee table? I have a table that is very similar and would love to cut it down. I worry that the circumference of my table would be too large though. It measures 42 inches across. I would love the hear your thoughts.

I love your remodel, especially the bathroom. Do you recall the wall color? I am having a hard time finding a “white” I like and I love the color you chose. Thank you.
I used Sherwin Williams Snowbound through the entire space. It’s a nice and crisp white.
Love! I am obsessing over your Elephant print. I am agonizing over choosing a perfect grey paint. Ironically, I have giant swatches of Repose Gray and Moonshine on the wall right now.

Amazing blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download it from somewhere? A theme like yours with a few simple tweeks would really make my blog jump out. Please let me know where you got your design. Bless you
I love your living room! Where did you get your world map?
Katie,
I found it at Pottery Barn years and years ago.
I’m not sure they still carry it but I bet they have something similar!

What color is the flooring?!?? Is it hardwood? It’s so beautiful!
It’s reclaimed walnut hardwood salvaged from an old factory that was being torn down. We just put a coat of poly on top, not a bit of stain.

Where did you find the gray coffee table. I love it
Cheryl,
I used an old kitchen table, cut down the pedestal, and painted it with gray porch paint.
I love that round grey coffee table, as well. Have a similiar table that I’m inspired to paint that color. May I ask the name & brand of paint you used? Beautiful work BTW! Thanks for sharing! ☺
Hi! I just love your house! Can you tell me the grout colour that you used for your hex tiled bathroom floor? And are you happy with it? Thank you!
Kristen,
thank you so much.
I love love love the hex tile in the bathroom. I believe the Grout color is Delorian Gray, if my memory serves me properly.

Hi – love your home! It’s gorgeous. Can you share where you found your sofa? Thanks!
I love that sink and vanity, where did you get it?
What is the paint color in your living room?
Hi,
I know….several years later. I found you via Pinterest.
Where did you find all your pillows( on white sofa and chairs)? Were they custom? Where did you find the fabric?
I love the picture of the elephant. Where did you get it?
Hi, Rhonda,
The elephant is from Sugarboo Designs. They have so many great pieces—check them out!
aj
Thank you for your pictures. They are amazing. Would you mind if I asked you about SW Snowbound? I chose that for my ceiling/trim – I really want a crisp white. But the color paint chip from SW does not reflect what I am seeing in pictures. In your opinion, is SW Snowbound 7004 a nice crisp white? I was looking at Extra White, but it looked almost blue to me. I am probably overanalyzing this. But the paint swatch I have (the ones you grab from a display) does not seem to do justice to what Snowbound actually looks like on walls. Thanks for your input. I appreciate it! (my interior wall color is SW Repose Gray)
Judy,

I’m so sorry I didn’t see your message when you responded. I have been battling spam messages. I love snowbound. It’s crisp and wonderful. Go for it. (But by now, I’m sure you went for it…
Can you please tell me where you got the coffee table? Thanks!
Katherine,
It’s an old kitchen table I found at an antique store. I had a friend saw off part of the pedestal to make it coffee table height. I painted it with gray porch paint.
you will have to put me in touch with your carpenter. I have a window I am turning into a door and dream of it being a set of french doors but havent found someone willing to do it.
also any information on french door hardware resourcing would be such a time saver!!! im guessing those are original knobs ? What about the long top and bottom latches??
Hannah,
The French doors are custom. My contractor and I designed them and asked a door maker to create them for us. He did the painting treatment, which turned out beautifully. They are brand new and look so very old!
if possile, could i get in touch with your doormaker? or maybe he knows some atlanta contacts as talented as himself?
any help would be so appreciated.
Hi Amy! So sorry for coming late to the party…but love your home!
Can you please tell me where you found the white sofa?
Thank you!
